Today (5 January 2025), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) stated that regarding the Myanmar authorities releasing foreign prisoners and detainees on 4 January, which included 152 Thai prisoners, the names of the four Thai fishermen who were arrested and sentenced to prison on 16 December 2024 have not yet been found. Therefore, it is disappointing that the process of releasing the group has not yet been completed. Myanmar is still considering the process according to the procedures, and the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs is fully cooperating.
